When Josh Allen was drafted by the Buffalo Bills, he was asked to draw the team’s logo from memory for a rookie social video. The childlike drawing went instantly viral and has been iconic team lore ever since.
So when New Era told us that Josh was becoming a member of the family and that they wanted to create a role for him within the company, we immediately knew what to do - turn him into a real designer and name him the Director of Billustration.
We created an entire line of Billustration merch, made Josh a LinkedIn and turned it into a season long content platform, but most importantly had Josh work with children in the Oishei Children’s Hospital to create drawings of their own on hats that he wore every home game.
Each hat was auctioned off postgame, raising nearly $150,000 for pediatric care.
